Finally! The long awaited and much talked about Hellcats upgrade for AV/PowerMacs has arrived. At no small expense we were able to patch the sound code to work on AV and PowerMac platforms. There are no other changes to Hellcats over version 1.03. NO, this IS NOT A POWERPC NATIVE VERSION OF HELLCATS. IT ONLY FIXES SOUND CODE.
To Install:
Step 1: You MUST have Hellcats version 1.03. Determine your version number. IMPORTANT. Just doing a get-info on the file will always show version 1.0. You must launch your copy of Hellcats and do an "About Hellcats" from the Apple menu. Look for your true version number in the dialog artwork.
Step 2: Run the patcher application, locate your copy of Hellcats and click "Open."
Step 3: Increase the RAM partition for Hellcats by 100K. To do this: select the Hellcats application and hit command-I. Now increase the minimum and prefered sizes by 100K For Hellcats the minimum size should now be 900K.
You should now have glorious sound on your AV or PowerMac.
